You gave good examples for this presentation
ReplyDeleteThanks Super Senior.
ReplyDeleteVery well prepared with good examples 👌👌
ReplyDeleteThe author has chosen a very delicate and a bold subject like queer theory, and very scientifically and smartly prepared the article, support of all the ancient mythological books like Mahabharat , Ramayan and Narada puran is being cited smartly, as per western country version homosexuality is just a deviation in act of satisfying one"s biological need. A very smartly prepared article .
ReplyDeleteWell selected example from ancient to modern age.
ReplyDeleteNicely mentioned all references!
ReplyDeleteIn queer theory, what is of central importance is not biological matters ,but it stresses on the importance of how sexuality is socially constructed. It is okay that there are deviant men and women, but we should accept them as "new Normal, and not as "Abnormal". Hence the so called drag, transgender, gay, lesbians, bisexual ,and hermaphrodite etc., are quite natural and normal phenomena. They should be accepted as a part of one's subjectivity and identity. The Bollywood films and the Hollywood films clearly accept this. Good presentation. You need to give a foreground and background of feminist criticism and how the queer theory came as an offshoot of this criticism. Reference to Freud, Nayan and Foucault need to be added to your presentation.Anyway, you can always do better in the future. Congratulations!
